Ice Cream Talk

Ice Cream, Ice Cream.. Since I'll be having my gallon of Ben and Jerry's and my HaagenDazs-all-you-can/all-I-can/I-can-much very soon, I'm working my appetite for ice cream again as early as tonight! :)

 Ben &Jerry's chocolate fudge brownie
I had my first B&J's taste of heaven when I was in HK last May for a vacation with friends. Such a pity, I know! I've been loving ice cream my entire life but my first actual kilig moment happened when I had my first heavenly taste of B&J's! The brownie chunks were delicious, sweet but just the way I like them to be. I love how the creamy texture of the chocolate ice cream slowly melts in my tongue as it gives joy to my overexcited tastebuds. I would have wanted to buy another cup but we needed to hurry and run because we wouldn't want to miss our flight back to Manila.

After missing Ben&Jerry's choco brownie fudge for a couple of days, my boyfriend surprised me with a pint one sweet night. He was insisting that I go and get him something cold from my fridge. I had a gallon of Hershey's chocolate ice cream at that time so I thought of bringing him a glass but to my surprise, tadaaann..

This!!! is what I found! :) He also told me that S&R sells Ben and Jerry's so he bought me one! Sweetness! (Disclaimer: Bf only told me that S&R sells B&J's after scaring him to death and he didn't tell me that he bought me one in a sweet manner, he just told me that he saw it and thought of selling it to me! Lol. That's just how sweet he is. :DD but yeah, he didn't ask me to pay for it, he was just kidding -well, he better be!)

Then comes my Haagen-Dazs midnight cookies n cream

Because Haagen Dazs is quite a sight at the malls already, I don't crave for it every now and then. It's easy access. But because I had to take care of some 'banking' matters at my personal account in Megamall last Monday, we had the opportunity to visit Haagen to finally try their ice cream buffet! But no big smiles yet because what we didn't know is that they have a cut off for their buffet and we got there around 10 past 8 so we sadly didn't make it, but I did order a scoop of their midnight cookies and cream just to slough off my ice cream craving for the night. So much for my ice cream craziness! I'd say -see you again,Megamall though ;)

*(It's actually not healthy to indulge on ice cream so I'm actually praying and planning to lessen my ice cream intake after my eat all you can experience, I just know I have to do this Haagen Dazs buffet-ing! Even for just one time! =P)

My AntiDepressant

It's July and it's Ice cream month for the Americans! I should know because I so looove Ice cream! FroYo, anything cold and creamy and icecreamy is on my top choices for dessert! :P It's only the 14th of July and I'd say I'm having ice cream for almost 10 days already! I can't help it, from Selecta to Red Mango, as long as its within reach! Every ice cream I see in the mall or anywhere has that strong appeal to me. Call me ice cream loca, but I guess it's maybe because it somehow relieves me from all the stress and depression I feel these days. Yes, Ice cream and anything cold is My anti-depression.

My RedMango Love. (from above to below:
Greentea froyo with blueberry toppings and cheesecake,
Blueberry froyo with blueberry toppings)

Red Mango gets the highest rank on my list when it comes to frozen yogurts. I can eat Red Mango every day. (but yes, i shouldn't) I love their original, green tea and blueberry. But my favorite would still be green tea, with toppings of blueberry, cheesecake and mochi :)

Coming soon.. Haagen Dazs ice cream all you can!

WooRiJib Korean Restaurant in Kalayaan, FOUND!

WooRiJib in Kalayaan has a simple Korean style ambiance. The place was just plain simple, the staff was courteous and friendly and you'll hear "anyong-haseyo" from them every time guests would enter. We were ecstatic to know that they serve meat-all-you-can for only Php500!!! They also have Samgyupsal-buffet for only Php300. But if you choose Samgyupsal and Bulgogi and Kalbi/galbi/sogalbi-all-you-can, you'll only pay P500. As for us, we choose to have the combination buffet for it's more worth the money :)) Least mentioning that we're both gumiho-like when it comes to eating meat! :D

Free servings of kimchi/appetizers. They also serve rice and soup with the buffet :)

My favorite, beef! Bulgalbi if i'm not mistaken :)

We have tried WooRiJib twice already and I would love to be back again next time :) Ta nyo o gesseoyo, WRJ! =P (Photos taken from "Diwata", my iphone4)

Back! Little Tokyo Urameshi-Ya Revisited

I've missed writing blogs! It's been almost a year and I'd want to 'restart' it out with my Urameshi-ya at Little Tokyo experience last May 2011.

Last May, we revisited Little Tokyo for Urameshi-ya and we tagged my mom and brother along. We were really excited to let them try the yakiniku buffet but when we got there, we were all disappointed. Their service that night was bad. Our server was rude and didn't help us at all in everything. She kept insisting that we finish everything for the specific time or we'll pay extra. It seemed like she's not at all enjoying what she was doing and pressuring us (the guests) to finish grilling and eating at the same time. She completely ruin our appetites and our mood. But we don't think it will be good for her (even for us) if we ask for her manager so we just tried ignoring her and ask other servers for our concerns instead. (I also looked for our previous server but I wasn't able to find her that night.)

We felt mistreated and because of that incident, I don't think I'll regain the appetite of eating there. So much for their yakiniku. Maybe it's time to find another yakiniku spot that I can share about.
